"I am writing this letter to anyone who needs assistance helping their child find the right college for their children.
I searched for months trying to get some help. I have twin sons that had, shall we say, less than adequate
resumes. I stumbled into Tam Warner Minton. Truly a gift. Tam worked with my children, cared about their
futures and led them on a journey I was not able to. I am a teacher and more than capable to help my kids and
yet I was overwhelmed by the sea of information, procedures, deadlines and requirements each university
requested. Tam did it all! She guided them through the process of choosing the correct school according to their
interest but more importantly their academic and social needs. She helped them create a working resume, fill out
complicated forms, and taught them to take responsibility for the timelines that this process forces. One of my
kids has special learning needs and Tam was able to help him choose schools that had special programs
specifically designed these types of students. She also recognized the need for my other son to be involved in a
dorm that supported him and required him to be part of a smaller community within the huge 20,000 student
population. Have you ever tried to navigate around one of these college websites? I have and it's frustrating to
say the least! Tam always knew exactly which link to click on to and what key words to look for. Wow! I don't
think I have ever met anyone more dedicated to what they do. Understanding the teen mind is almost an
impossible task. Tam is the "Teen Whisperer". She naturally connected to my teens at a time they were
completely disconnected from anything resembling responsibility. The end result was that my children applied to
7 universities each. They were accepted to every single one. One son now attends the University of Denver and
his brother attends Colorado State University in Fort Collins Co. Words cannot explain how my children and I feel

"We were relieved and confident when we hired Tam to take our daughter through the process of college, and also avoid choosing a
college for the wrong reasons. She helped her find colleges that would really be a good fit for her. Through this process, I was undergoing
chemo and radiation and I was unable to help my daughter at all. Tam did the whole job. She held our daughter's hand every step of the
way... and there are lots of steps!! This gave me the peace I needed to focus on healing. Having Tam oversee everything involved relieved
the guilt and concern that I would have otherwise struggle with, not being available to my daughter at such a crucial time in her life. Even if I

We hired a consultant because we needed help getting through the massive amounts of information out there about colleges. We wanted to
find the right match for our son and it became overwhelming. My son attended Plano Senior High School and really didn't know where he
wanted to go to college. We found College Adventures through word of mouth referral. We spoke to other consultant groups out there;
however, I was really impressed with the "one woman show". She really cares about the kids. This was the best part about hiring a
consultant. One-on-one at all times. Tam really helped our son from the very beginning to the bitter end. She taught him what to look for in
a college and how to research it. She helped him find colleges that were a good fit for him and made him open his mind to new ideas. She
worked with him every step of the way on each and every application he sent in. .....He then applied to the Honors program at San Diego
State University (with some coaxing from Tam) and was accepted into their Pre-Nursing Honors Program and accepted the offer. Tam
