The Week in Review: My last week and blog in Texas.

So this last week has been surprisingly fun. I’ve gone to dinner with many people. First Hibiscus with my parents, second Hully and Mo’s with my brother, and third and most recently Villa O with my grandparents. I also bought a new iPod Classic because my old iPod Video (from 7thgrade) finally died. I went to Buck Branch Farm almost every day this week to see Baby Jinks and Bartok. Poor Jinks somehow got an ikky cut on his left front leg and hasn’t been able to do much for over a week. He’s been put in a stall and I’ve gotten to play vet. college adventuresNot so fun…  He hates taking Bute (horsey Advil) and doesn’t want to stay still when I clean the cut and attempt to apply Neosporin.  He is now on some antibiotic to fight any infection (YUCK!) and the swelling has gone down. :D I will miss both of my boys dearly and am already looking forward to seeing them over Thanksgiving break! My friend Michelle left for the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) on Thursday, so I am officially the last one to leave home. I’ve downloaded Skype so I’ve been talking to a few people, Michael, Tom, Leigh, Wes, and a new friend who is going to JWU Matt.  I have also realized this week that I am really ready to go. I’ve already made plans with a couple of friends up there for Monday after we are all moved in! We are going to see a movie at the mall to celebrate our last night of summer.  The last thing to do is pack what I will be bringing in my suitcase. I HAVE SOO MUCH STUFF!!! I already shipped eight boxes! One was just my Cowboy hat… but still. They are safe in Providence now. Ohhh and I ordered my books this week… that was a scary bill to ask my parents to pay. My Math book alone cost $144 USED!!!!!!! And my Equine Science book cost about the same.  Why would anyone price a math book that high? I really do not understand it. OHH well… there’s nothing I can do about it now. It’s been ordered.

Anyways, I really will miss Texas, but a friend gave me some good advice today,

“Don’t think of it as you are moving away for four years. Think of it as taking an extended vacation.”

Thank you Mrs. Ferrier.

I’ll talk at yall later!

What an incredible writer you are!! If all else fails, you can always do this!! I love that we’ll all be able to keep up with you – that had been one of my greatest concerns is not knowing what was going on! Not nosey – just concerned. I know that you are embarking on an experience of a lifetime and if you apply yourself, success will come easy! Study hard but have a little fun along the way, too (as if you had to be told that!). Love you!
