You might say there are many things that are unpleasant about going 10 hours away from home. Really, there is only one thing. No, its not that its hard to get home, or that your so far away from your family, or the fact that you might be nervous because your out of your comfort zone. No, these things are good. They teach you independence, your grow up a little, and in your first year of college you change so unbelievably much. And trust me, you don’t want to be the same person you are as you start college. Actually, the real issue is when you get sick away from home. I’m a momma’s girl. When I’m sick, I most definitely want my mom. She seems like the only one who can make the worst incident seem just a little bit better. And I am the worst sick person. I get whiney and tired. I feel like freaking death is at my door. My whole body aches with stiff and sore muscles. My head pounds, my chest usually feels heavy, and I can never get comfortable. So I think you get the idea, I’m a baby when it comes to being sick. And what’s even worse is that it is halloween and I can’t go out, because I am bed ridden with a 101 fever! But it’s not so bad, my room mate and Wilson are here. Wilson has been doing the most work. Gets me advil, water, food, you know whenever I need it. But he is still not mom.
But on a happier note, this week was big/little week. Every girl in the sorority is assigned to a little sister. We make sure they know the ropes about the sorority and don’t get in any trouble. I got two! So all week, I’ve been painting canvases, decorating wine glasses, and writing one coolers. I did this because before they know who their big is, we shower them with gifts for three days! The first night I chose a theme of girls night out. The second was AOII stuff, and the third was grooving, which was my favorite. I gave them coolers and margarita mix and chips and dip. then the fourth is reveal. I gave them each a matching witches hat (cause its halloween) and i walked into the room for them to find me. Then we decorated a pumpkin, then I took one of my littles to a party with me. The other had studying to do. They are fun girls and I think we will have a lot fun together.
Besides that, my dadm, step mom, and little brother came into town for parents weekend. I was really excited to see them. I took them to a arts show, the football game, and dinner. It was a good time!
Any way, the head ache is coming back so I am stopping for now.
