Here come finals….you can feel the stress building, right? Study, study, study! Help relieve your stress, anxiety, and depression by eating these foods….and sorry, pizza, chips, soda and ice cream are NOT on the list. Do yourself a favor and stay away from fast food when you are tense and need to both focus and relax!
Here is the list:
Citrus…anything with good ol’ Vitamin C!
Nuts! I love almonds, and always throw a handful into your salad (walnuts, pecans, almonds…go for it).
You need folic acid! Kale and spinach have it. If you don’t like the leafy green approach, take a multivitamin with folic acid.
Salmon and wonderful omega 3′s. Even the psychiatric association recommends that anyone on antidepressants or who is depressed take extra omega 3′s in supplement form.
Dried cherries. That’s a new one on me!
