Well before I get to talk about finals first off going home for thanksgiving was really nice. It felt good to be home and get away for awhile. Have some true alone time because in college it’s hard to have true alone time. I spent this visit home with family because last time I was home I just spent it with friends mostly and then still missed my family.
I had a good thanksgiving with my parents and our family friends. I wish my grandmother could have come with us, she wasn’t feeling up to it. She is doing really great at her new apartment and is getting involved with the people there. That is so good and a huge improvement for her.
Anyways, besides thanksgiving now I have to come back to school and begin studying for finals. I only have two weeks of school then I get to go home for a whole month. But in the meantime I am at my last two days of my classes for this semester and the rest of the week we have 23 1/2 quiet hours in the dorms so everyone will be studying. At Hendrix people are serious about actually studying the library is packed so sometimes you have to get creative about finding a good study place. I will probably go to Murphy house where they have a nice fireplace and comfy chairs to sit in. Everyone in there is quiet and working so I know I will work because I don’t want to be the only one sitting in there not working.
I think my most time consuming exam is going to be my art final. I have to draw a huge drawing and turn it in with all my others and it just takes up so much time. Im going to have to make a schedule to fit in everything so I can manage my time well. My exams go as Psychology first on friday afternoon then Journeys (freshman required class) Tuesday morning and my art final due wednesday morning. After that I will be driving home Wednesday.
I’m ready for this semester to be over and to have a good break from it all. The spring semester is going to be hectic. Plus my brother is coming home for Christmas and it will be nice to see him.
Good luck with finals everyone!
