Hi everyone!
I know it’s been way too long. Toward the end of last semester, I was on the verge of going crazy due to all of the basketball games and performances we had to do for poms and finals week I was a big hot mess. So hello again and yes, I am still alive. My month home for winter break was amazing! I was definitely not ready to come back to reality and realize that I still have a whole new semester and all new classes to start. It’s especially weird to go home for a whole month.
I felt like the entire last semester, I was just at summer camp and I was finally coming home. I guess there is still more adjusting to do. Going home was great. I got to see all of my friends that I had been missing. I got to sit at my house in my pajamas all day and watch movies and drink hot chocolate ( which happens to be my #1 favorite thing to do in the whole world). And it was absolutely delightful to not have to worry about what exams I have to study for or any papers I had to write. It was pure bliss.
However, that bliss doesn’t last for very long. Jack, my boyfriend, and I drive back up to Fort Collins last Saturday and prepared for school that started on Tueday. Let me tell you that going from sleeping in a nice queen sized bed in your own room is heaven when you come back to your closet sized dorm room and twin sized bed that you have to share with your bitchy roomate :/. Womp Womp. Anyways, I absolutely LOVE my classes this semester. I finally get to take classes that I am interested in and that actually pertain to my major: communications. I am taking sociology, public speaking, communication in pop culture, math and history and I’m actually excited about going to class unlike last semester.
Poms has just started back up again. We’ve had 2 practices and a basketball game last night and it’s the exact same. I love it and all of my girls on the team.
Yes, it is really hard being so far from home. I miss my parents a lot. I’ve always been really close to them and its hard being so far from them, but being far has made me grow up a lot faster. I’m much more independent when I have to take care of myself and do my own laundry and make myself food. I’m a big girl now. However, my birthday is in 2 weeks and they are coming up here to spend the weekend with me. We’re going to the mountains and we’re going shopping and hanging out in a cute little cabin that we rented for the weekend. I’m so excited.
Well, anyway, that’s really all the news I have for you for now.
GO RAMS!
