Working in Paradise

Rasta Bar, Punta Sur, Cozumel, MX

I am on vacation. Let me qualify that: I am on a working vacation. I’m checking emails, continuing to communicate with students, colleges and parents and colleagues. My profession seems to also be an obsession, but actually, I just love what I do. It does not feel like “work” to me.

I enjoy blogging, I enjoy working with students and parents and colleagues, and I wish I had more students. My seniors are winding down (except for one student, they are all applied), and the busy time with them will come in April, when we look at acceptances and financial packages together.   The results have been great so far, several acceptances and a few full financial rides. I just received word this morning that one of my seniors received the Presidential Scholarship at Lake Forest College, a selective liberal arts school in Chicago!

My juniors are geared up, researching their college lists and preparing for their SATs and ACTs. This is a bit of a lull time for me, which is why I spend some time at our home in Mexico at this time of the year. I continue to blog and participate in consulting, so don’t hesitate to contact me!
