So I’ve been back in school for over a month now and its so crazy! It seems like a few weeks ago that I was still at home for winter break! Anyway, this semester has been going okay. I love my classes, but last week was my first round of hell week for this semester. I had 3 quizzes, 2 exams, and 2 papers. I was going insane.
2 weekends ago was my mom and I’s birthday so my parents came up to visit me and we went to a cabin in the mountain town, Estes Park, for the weekend. It was a blast. My boyfriend, Jack, joined us and we went shopping, went to Rocky Mountain National Park, and ate dinner at the Stanley Hotel(where The Shining was filmed) for our birthday dinners. It was such a blast to hang out with my family for the weekend and just get away from college. I’ve missed them so much.
This last weekend I went with 2 of my friends, Lauren and Alix, to Littleton to go to a place called Jumpstreet. It’s basically a warehouse full of trampolines and its awesome. After Jumpstreet we visitred Red Rocks, which is a concert venue up in the mountains that only requires a few speakers and the rest of the sounds are echoed from the rocks. It’s beautiful. Then, we went to the Columbine High School Memorial. It is only 5 minutes from Alix’s house and we walked around and looked at the stories and things friends and families of the students left them. It was so incredibly sad, but it’s definitely a historical landmark for that area and is something that everyone has heard of.
Later that night we went to see the Valentine’s Day movie which was so cute and is a perfect movie to see with your girlfriends. Oh, and I forgot! Friday night some of the crews from America’s Best Dance Crew came to CSU and performed! It was awesome. The crew that one last season, We are Heroes, was here and a crew from Boulder that was on regionals for the West for this season occuring right now, BreakFX, came too. It was really exciting!
In 2 weeks I’m going snowboarding for the 2nd time and I’m still in my learning stages so I’ll keep you updated!
GO RAMS!
