Nursing is a rewarding health career that can take you anywhere in the world. This career is in great demand, and some nurses can make more than physicians. Being a nurse opens the door to many career paths, from hospitals to surgery to international travel and adventure. When looking at a nursing school, be sure that it is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Some nursing programs are not, and that will slow down your licensing process. Many nursing schools now require that you achieve your certified nurse assistant prior to enrolling in the nursing program. You can achieve an Associates Degree in Nursing, but a Bachelors will give you many more career opportunities, as will graduate programs.
Some students are receiving their Nursing Degree and then pursuing Medical School. You must fulfill all medical school requirements in addition to your nursing degree, but it is a great pathway into the field of medicine.
