This semester has been extremely unordinary for one main reason, my friends. The class of 2010 graduated, and it’s not the same without them! I met some wonderful friends from that graduate class, like Jaime, Justin, TJ, and many more. I had some of my close friends go abroad, like Miguel and Mia. I had friends transfer like Kuan, a great friend of mine, and one of my best friends, Melanie! My best friend/roommate from the past two years, Laura, is currently studying abroad in Bolivia. I didn’t realize how much I would miss her. I feel so incomplete without her. I think about her all the time. I know she’s having an incredible time, but I can’t wait until second semester because then she’ll be back!

I’m in my second semester as a sophomore, which means I’m almost halfway done, scary! So far this semester has been pretty good. I have selected a major, and minor, all I have to do is declare it! I will be majoring in music along with a minor in sociology and anthropology! If I am not too overwhelmed and have the time I will double major with the two studies.

Several Aramark staff employment ended a few weeks ago. Although employees were employed by Aramark, and not by the College, these individuals were well known to students, faculty and staff, and were highly regarded, productive and well-liked members of the campus community. However, their departures were disruptive and painful for the employees themselves and a source of sadness for Aramark and for the College as a whole

I absolutely love both of these organizations because the members really make it enjoyable! I have been and still am a member of the Choir, and vocal student. I also try to attend the yoga classes on campus!

This is my first blog… so I have a lot to say!
My first semester of my sophomore year at Lake Forest College (LFC) is coming to an end. This is my second year to be living in one of the campus dorms, Cleveland-Young International Center (CYIC). Most people mistake it for being a dorm just for international students; it’s also open to students who are interested in living in a close and diverse community, or studying International Relations.
