Manaus, Brazil

I have had another great adventure in another wonderful country called Brazil. For the past week, the MV Explorer has been traveling slowly down the Amazon first reaching Manaus, where we stopped for five days, then doubling back to exit the Amazon and out to the Atlantic ocean.

Dominica

So, like I said before my first port was in Dominica. Which is actually pronounced Dom- i- nee- ca, with the accent over the “nee” part. So basically, we could not have stopped at a better first port. It was so amazing. There was so much to do and so much to see.

Bahamas

Well, after a year and a half of planning and talking and thinking, semester at sea is finally here. And let me tell you, it was so rough getting here. So, right now it is about midnight, it is my first night on the ship. I have met my room mate. Her name is Lauren and so far we are getting along really well. DONE! Now Semester at Sea!

Only 26 days until I am on my 108 day adventure. Some of my other trips include The Art of Living in China, where I will stay in a village and learn different types of yoga; River to Ocean Kayaking in Dominica, its just what it sounds like, I start in a river and kayak to an ocean; A three day Safari trip out side of Cape Town!

Ole Miss then Semester at Sea!

Well, things are still super busy and rush is coming up. But because of my busy schedule I am missing about half of it. After rush is over, I think things will slow down again because I wont have rush practices on Wednesday nights any more. That will open up a lot of time to do homework and take a way a lot of stress. My roommate and I started working out with P90X. Its killing me, but overall I feel better

The Ole Miss Rebel is busy, busy, busy!

I’m a Junior! Well, technically, I am still a sophomore because I don’t have enough hours to be considered a junior by the school, but it’s my third year so I say I am a junior! It is also my golden year. I turned 21 on the 21st of august! So whether my attitutde is just better, or it actually is my “golden” year, so far I have had a pretty good year.

End of the Semester Rush

So, I think I have found a solution to my sorority problem. I talked to the right people about my situation. I haven’t made a decision yet but I am closer. When I went to standards to talk to the president, financial advisor, and and standards committee, we were able to discuss more options.
