I have been working with teenagers and college students for over 15 years, and I cannot think of a better way to spend
my time and energy! I LOVE being a college admissions consultant! I taught at the university level for several years, as a
teaching assistant at the University of North Texas and as a Lecturer at the University of Texas at Dallas.  My interest in
college consulting began when my own daughter began the college application process.  The college search, selection
and application process is vastly different for our children than it was for previous generations.  The "college acceptance
frenzy" and the competitive nature of applications is enough to confuse any student and family....and now we have the
economic downturn and the craziest admission season to date (2011).  Here is the bottom line:  the best school to get
into is the right fit school for the student.  THAT is what counts.

I am a
Professional Member of the Independent Education Consultant's Association, IECA, and have a
Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA.  I have attended many conferences, visited many universities and
colleges, and most of all, I have had the privilege of working with wonderful students, families, colleagues and colleges.  I
was honored to be mentored by Rhea Wolfram, a Certified Educational Planner, and long-time member of the
IECA.  I am
also working with AVID students (Advancement via Individual Determination) at a local high school by providing volunteer
college guidance. Please visit my
blog, my articles at www.hundredsofheads.com, and my column on Dallas Morning
News'
www.neighborsgo.com. I would love to hear from you.
